AW20 Custom Prints

Both our custom prints this season have been painted in house by one of the Maaike designers Emilie. After playing around with some different techniques we settled on a style and cut up some paint charts to come up with palette ideas. We couldn't decide between a moody darker look or a brighter more colourful palette so decided to do one of each.

After we had a rough idea of colours we did a lot of tests to see what combination we would end up committing to

We almost added a touch of yellow to what would become the Marble Print but decided against it. We also settled on a more swirled marbled technique for these colours as we had already done the darker Chroma Print first in this dripped look so thought they needed to be completely different.

The Chroma Print came together pretty quickly
