Some favourite custom orders!

As you may know (I mean, how could you not the custom orders are flooding in!) we have started offering a custom service which has been SO much fun. We have made such a wide variety of special pieces - some old, some new and some pretty much designed from scratch by you guys! Here are a couple of favourites that have gone out recently.

Winter 2014 'Manic Episode' Vest

One of our lovely customers in Melbourne requested this beautiful double layered vest in our new season Decade Print. We talked through the options of the outer layer and settled on a semi sheer viscose. We also made it slightly shorter for her and we think it looks amazing - we often forget about past styles and we may add this one back in to a range at some point.

Mural Jumper Winter 2016

The Mural Jumper has been one of our most popular styles EVER and we have done it in a few different fabrics over the years. This one we did in a plain light merino and it came up so well - such a great shape!

Kimono heaven!

We have been working on some kimonos for a customer. She is Auckland based so popped into our studio to talk through fabric options and styles. We mocked up the kimonos first to get the shape right and these are the first two we have finished, one in our winter Chroma Print and one in black with a burnt out velvet accent. 

Abstract Dress Winter 2016 and Universe Dress Summer 16/17

Two classic Maaike dresses whipped up for a lovely customer in the South Island. We sent out some colour options for the Universe Dress and she chose this lovely navy.
