We were SO happy we still got to do our South Island road trip it's the favourite part of our year! We fly into Christchurch, grab Em's mums car and head south seeing our wonderful stockists in Christchurch, Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, Invercargill and Wanaka. We stayed in Queenstown two nights this time to have a little breather but more importantly - eat!!
Aosta - Arrowtown
Our main true love The Sherwood was still closed so we had to branch out and we are pretty glad we did as we checked out Aosta in Arrowtown. WOW. We cannot recommend enough and the maitre d Jessica gives the best service you will ever have. The Northern Italian inspired food is rustic but beautiful and they even had hand made gluten free pasta for Abby which you never see anywhere! Here is a look at a few of the dishes we had - if you go you just have to order the Tiramisu they make it table side and it's pretty damn special.
We have only done the lunch here before so tried out the multi course dinner this time and while absolutely beautiful it was so rich! We had an amazing time as it was freezing cold outside and with their big fire roaring it was gorgeously cosy. It was a very seafood heavy meal check out a couple of the dishes below
